Bitcoin's $16B Options Expiry Ignites Volatility Fears
A large quarterly options expiry on Deribit has left Bitcoin traders watching for potential short-term volatility. About $15.9 billion in BTC options expired at 8:00 UTC Friday, with most of the contracts being call-heavy and centered around major strikes near the mid-$80,000s.
The settlement removed a huge block of quarterly options from the book, which can lead to changes in dealer hedging and spot market activity. Traders are now rebuilding positions for later expiries while deciding whether the recent rally can regain momentum.
DigiTap offers retail investors an early-entry setup, with $TAP currently priced at $0.0589 in presale before public exchange trading begins. The token has been independently audited by Coinsult and SolidProof, giving buyers another layer of confidence before entering the market.
