Bitcoin's 42% Surge May Not Be Enough for a Six-Figure Breakout
Bitcoin's recent 42% surge has investors optimistic about reaching six-figure prices again, but several critical price levels will determine whether 2027 brings a breakout or a reversal.
The cryptocurrency recently climbed to $84,883 as of September 27, 2026, after a challenging first half of the year. Despite this growth, Bitcoin is still down 3.7% for 2026 and has lost 23% over the past year.
To sustain upward movement, new buyers will need to absorb selling pressure at various price points. This could be an issue as many investors who purchased Bitcoin at higher levels are still below the profit line and might begin selling into this rally.
Looking ahead, Bitcoin may trade between $63,694 and $100,000 in 2027. A push into six figures is possible, but a year spent within this range seems more likely at this stage.
