Bitcoin's Fate Tied to Jobs Data as Strong Economic Growth Accelerates
The Federal Reserve's July decision to hold interest rates steady has been upended by strong economic data, which may push Bitcoin prices lower. The ISM Manufacturing PMI reported a beat on August 3, printing 55.6 against an expected 54.0. This is the highest reading since May 2022 and suggests growth is accelerating.

Bitcoin's price is currently pinned between $62,200 and $65,000, with several key events this week set to influence its direction. On Tuesday, the JOLTS report will provide insight into job openings, which could confirm or contradict the idea that labor demand has cooled. A strong reading alongside elevated prices would close off any hope of a dovish surprise.
On Friday, the July Employment Situation report will decide the week's outcome for Bitcoin. A repeat of June's softness, with moderate hiring and no wage acceleration, could give Bitcoin its cleanest run at $65,000. However, if payrolls beat expectations, wages climb, and prior months are revised higher, this would validate the case for tightening and send Bitcoin through $62,000 toward $61,200.
