Bitcoin's Four-Year Cycle Suggests Price Surge Ahead
The Bitcoin price has seen significant fluctuations in recent times, but one pattern is emerging that could have investors optimistic about its future. The cryptocurrency's four-year cycle suggests it may be due for a recovery, particularly with the next halving event in April 2028.
Looking at historical data, Bitcoin tends to trade in cycles of three years of strong growth followed by one year of decline. For example, in 2023, Bitcoin surged by 155% before its 2024 halving, and in 2019, it rallied by 92% ahead of its 2020 halving.
With the current price of $85,929, some experts believe that Bitcoin may have already bottomed. Coinbase Global Chief Executive Officer Brian Armstrong has even predicted that Bitcoin could soar to as high as $400,000 by 2030.
