Bitcoin's 'Fringe Phase' Declared Over as Campaign Targets American Education
The Nakamoto Project has launched a new campaign to educate Americans about Bitcoin. The nonprofit organization claims that 'the fringe phase is officially over' and aims to enhance understanding of the cryptocurrency among US citizens.
The campaign, which will run for 12 weeks, includes an educational website, six full-page print ads in The Wall Street Journal, and 24 quarter-page ads. The first essay by macro analyst Lyn Alden was published on Tuesday as sponsored content in the business newspaper.
The ads point out that 1 in 6 Americans now own BTC, securing over $1.25 trillion in wealth. They also highlight the successful launch of Bitcoin exchange-traded funds and note that two major companies, Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: SPCX) and Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA), are holding BTC on their balance sheets.
The campaign's goal is to educate Americans about Bitcoin's value proposition as 'money that can't be printed out of thin air' and a payment network that 'can't be stopped'. The ads claim that in today's world, this value is worth everything.
