Bitcoin's Market Capitalization Surpasses $2.36 Trillion
Bitcoin's market capitalization has surpassed $2.36 trillion, reaching approximately 1.7% of the global money basket. This milestone combines global fiat M2 money supply and gold's market cap, which totals around $138 trillion.
This achievement highlights Bitcoin's growing role as an alternative store of value amid expanding fiat currency supply and inflation concerns.
However, despite its rising prominence, only about 825,000 people worldwide hold at least one whole Bitcoin, a small fraction of the global population and millionaires. Research also suggests that a 10% Bitcoin allocation has historically outperformed traditional investment portfolios.
