Bitcoin's Next Move Divides Institutional Investors
Institutional investors are at odds over Bitcoin's next move as the cryptocurrency market sees massive shifts in bets.
Leveraged funds took a net short position of 7,953 contracts on standard CME Bitcoin futures by Tuesday, Sept. 22, after reversing their prior week's easing.
This represents a significant change from the prior week's data, with leveraged funds moving 1,599 contracts further net short in standard CME Bitcoin futures during that time period.
In contrast, asset managers added 411 contracts to their net long position, with a total of 4,962 longs and 1,791 shorts as of Sept. 22.
