Bitcoin's Price Volatility Continues as QNT and NIGHT Defy Market Correction
The cryptocurrency market experienced significant volatility last week, particularly in Bitcoin's price. Despite the US labor market showing signs of cooling down, which should be bullish for risk-on assets, Bitcoin's price surge was halted and it plummeted before finally stabilizing at $84,500.
However, not all altcoins were affected equally. QNT and NIGHT continued to defy the market correction, with QNT posting a 13% surge and reaching over $260, while NIGHT rose by a similar percentage and touched $0.50.
The larger-cap altcoin field is deep in the red today, with ETH losing the $2,700 support once again and XRP slipping below $1.50. BTC's price has calmed after its wild ride, but its market cap stands at $1.69 trillion, while its dominance over the alts is up to 59% on CMC.
The total crypto market cap is down by almost 2% in the past 24 hours and now sits at $2.880 trillion on CMC. The mid-cap alts are also deep in the red, with ZEC plummeting by more than 5% daily and DOGE losing nearly 10% of its value.
