Bitcoin's Rally May Be Short-Lived as Analysts Warn of Painful August

Bitcoin's recent rally has brought it to around $65,000, but according to popular analyst Ali Martinez, investors should 'enjoy the current rally' because August might bring a painful downturn. Historically, every single August since 2022 has been in the red, with retracements of up to 14% in 2022 and 11.3% in 2023.

Looking back at historical data from CoinGlass, only three out of the last 12 Augusts have been in the green, with notable exceptions being the 30% rise in 2013 and the 65% surge in 2017.

Fellow analyst Rekt Capital offered a different perspective, stating that the current price pump is 'a far cry from previous rebounds' due to progressively weakening support over time. He noted that even though Bitcoin has risen by double digits, it's coming off a significantly more painful June with losses of over 20%.

As the upcoming monthly candle close approaches, investors are being warned to prepare for potential losses in August, but it remains to be seen if history will repeat itself.
