Bitcoin's Recovery Above 50-Week Moving Average Sparks Bullish Sentiment
Bitcoin's recent recovery above its 50-week moving average has caught the attention of crypto analyst Doctor Profit, who believes it could mark the end of the bear market.
In his latest report, Doctor Profit points out that Bitcoin's rebound above $78,700 is similar to a pattern seen during the 2022-2023 market bottom. He argues that this setup is a potential bear trap, where the decline appears to confirm further downside before reversing and catching bearish traders off guard.
Doctor Profit compares the current situation to Bitcoin's recovery from the 2022 bear market, noting that five out of seven historical recoveries above the 50-week moving average were followed by bull markets. He believes that a weekly close above $78,700 would provide further confirmation that Bitcoin has entered a new bullish phase.
However, reclaiming a moving average does not necessarily mean that a bear market has ended. The analyst's historical comparison is a potential technical analogy, not proof of a sustained rally. For now, Doctor Profit's prediction of $88,000 depends on two developments: Bitcoin defending the reclaimed 50-week moving average and breaking through the $82,500-$83,000 resistance zone.
