Bitcoin's Resilience Sends Strong Signal to Investors
Bitcoin's resilience in the face of numerous risks is 'very telling', according to macro analyst Joe Consorti. Speaking on 'The Exit Manual' podcast, Consorti and host Julian Figueroa discussed potential threats such as quantum computing and protocol disputes that could impact Bitcoin.
Despite these challenges, Consorti pointed out that Bitcoin has been able to withstand pressures including tight monetary policy, geopolitical uncertainty, and technical controversies. He noted that the cryptocurrency has fallen roughly 50% from its highs but remains resilient, with a price of around $64,000 at the time of the conversation.
Consorti highlighted the importance of considering Bitcoin's historical drawdowns, which have ranged from 70% to 90%. He emphasized that the resilience of Bitcoin is a key factor in its ability to recover from market fluctuations. However, he also cautioned against investing in Bitcoin for those nearing retirement or with limited time frames.
Consorti sees recurring monetary expansion benefiting scarce assets like Bitcoin and gold. He expects AI stocks to compete with crypto for investor capital but remains strongly bullish on Bitcoin's long-term prospects. In fact, he predicts that Bitcoin will reach $1 million a coin within the next decade before 2036.
