Bitcoin's Strong Q3 Performance Sets Stage for Year-End Rally
Bitcoin's third quarter has been impressive, with a rise of about 44% according to CoinGlass data. This is the second-strongest performance in this period since 2013, with only the 80% surge in 2017 outshining it.
The October-December period has historically delivered stronger returns for Bitcoin, with an average return of around 77% and a median of 48% across completed fourth quarters from 2013 to 2025. However, these figures are skewed by exceptional years like 2013 and 2017 that saw massive gains.
Recent years also demonstrate the unpredictability of Bitcoin's performance in the final quarter. While it rose about 55% and 48% in the final quarters of 2023 and 2024, respectively, it fell 15% and 23% in 2022 and 2025, respectively.
