Bitcoin's Summer Rally May Be Just Enough for Record Breakthrough
Bitcoin has made significant gains since June, rising by approximately 45% to around $84,883 as of September 27. However, it still needs to climb another 49% to reclaim its peak of $126,198 from October 2025.
The key question for Bitcoin this cycle is whether it can break new records or just recover from last year's downturn. Over the past month, Bitcoin has gained 8.3%, and is on track for its first quarterly gain in a year.
Despite these gains, Bitcoin is still down 3.7% for 2026 and 23.2% year-over-year, trading around 33% below its record high. The summer rally has only helped recover some losses from a prolonged downturn instead of creating new heights.
The crucial $110,000 mark presents a significant wall of resistance. This range is still below the record high, as reaching a new all-time high would necessitate adding $830 billion in market value while facing substantial selling resistance.
