Bitcoin's Uptober Rally: 10 Years of Bullish Statistics
October has become a significant month for Bitcoin's performance in the crypto community. Dubbed 'Uptober', it is named after its historically bullish stats. According to CoinGlass, in 10 out of 13 completed Octobers from 2013-2025, Bitcoin ended the month with positive performance.
The average return of Bitcoin during this period was +18.71%, while the median was +12.73%. The best October for Bitcoin was in 2013, with a gain of +60.79%. On the other hand, the worst was October 2014, when the asset fell by 12.95%.
Plan B's data also indicates that Bitcoin is in a relatively strong position after September's close. In September 2026, Bitcoin closed at $83,563, above its realized price of $54,000 and the 200-week moving average of $66,000. This means 82% of addresses and 71% of Bitcoin are in profit.
Despite the failure to pass the CLARITY Act on September 15, October started positively for Bitcoin, with it trading near the $87,000 mark. This aligns with Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong's 'vision board', which included a new bull run in the crypto market starting in Uptober.
