Bitcoin's Winning Quarter Streak Hinges on Avoiding Historic Shock
Bitcoin's price has surged to $81,214 as of September 19, marking a remarkable 39% increase from its June 30 close. This places Bitcoin just 11 days away from achieving its first winning quarter in a year.
The last instance of Bitcoin finishing a quarter with a positive return was in Q3 of 2025. However, after peaking at an all-time high of $126,198 on October 6, 2025, Bitcoin has trended downward for three consecutive quarters, making this quarter's close particularly critical.
Despite its recent gains, Bitcoin remains in negative territory overall for the year, down 7.18% from its December 31, 2025 close of $87,498. The best outcome for September 30 is a green quarter that still falls within a red year.
