Bitdeer Diversifies with Full-Stack AI Cloud Expansion
Bitdeer is expanding its infrastructure strategy beyond Bitcoin mining to include full-stack AI Cloud and Model Studio services. The move comes as mining operators seek alternative revenue streams due to narrowing margins on hardware and fluctuating hash prices.
The company estimates that one megawatt of power can generate around $2,491 in daily gross revenue from Bitcoin mining at current hashprices and efficiency levels. However, this leaves only about $1,435 for other expenses after electricity costs are factored in.
AI Cloud services offer a new source of revenue that is not directly tied to Bitcoin price or network difficulty. Bitdeer's AI Cloud provides customers with access to virtual machines, bare-metal servers, and containers, as well as distributed training, serverless inference, and AI agent deployment capabilities.
The company has secured certifications such as ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type I and II to ensure the security of sensitive workloads on its platform. On-demand pricing gives customers a clear starting point for costs, with single-GPU prices listed at around $0.30-1.50 per hour.
Bitdeer's AI Cloud is competitive in terms of pricing, with rates around 20% lower than those of peers such as Runpod and Hyperstack. The company has reported 4,248 deployed GPUs, 95% utilization, and about $76 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) as of July 31, 2026.
The shift towards AI Cloud services is a diversification strategy for Bitdeer, rather than a replacement for traditional mining operations. The company's focus on colocation and customer-facing AI services sets it apart from peers such as Hut 8 and TeraWulf, which lean more heavily on infrastructure leases.
