Bitdeer has expanded its Bitcoin mining operations in Texas after securing a significant deal for 28 megawatts of power. The move is part of the company's efforts to increase its mining capacity and adapt to the growing demand for cryptocurrency mining.

The agreement marks a major expansion for Bitdeer, which has already seen significant growth in recent quarters. In Q2 2026, the company nearly quintupled its output, producing 2,694 BTC, up from just 565 BTC in the same period last year.

Bitdeer's mining operations are not the only ones affected by the growing trend of integrating AI into cryptocurrency activities. Investment strategist Arthur Hayes has predicted that debt-funded AI infrastructure could lead to a crisis and ultimately send Bitcoin prices soaring beyond $1 million.
