Bitdeer Powers Up Texas Wind Farm with 28 MW Bitcoin Mining Deployment
Bitdeer is expanding its co-mining business by deploying 28 megawatts of Bitcoin mining equipment at Soluna's wind-powered data center in South Texas. The site, known as Project Kati 1, has a total capacity of 83 megawatts and began operating in February.
The installation will add about 1.93 EH/s of computing capacity to the site, which is supplied by the Las Majadas wind project. Bitdeer will retain ownership of its Sealminer A2 Pro Air machines and supply them for operation at Soluna's facility under a revenue-sharing model.
Deployment is expected to begin in September and ramp up in batches, with Soluna providing electricity and operations for the equipment. The agreement marks another step in Soluna's expansion phase as it develops additional Bitcoin mining infrastructure.
