Bitdeer Q2 Bitcoin Production Surges Fivefold Amid Revenue Growth
Bitdeer, a publicly traded Bitcoin mining company, reported significant growth in its second-quarter production and revenue. The firm produced 2,694 BTC in Q2 2026, nearly five times more than the 565 BTC mined during the same period last year. Total revenue rose by 47% to $228.8 million.
The surge in output was driven primarily by a substantial increase in energized computing power. Bitdeer's average self-mining hashrate jumped 389% year-over-year to 69.5 exahashes per second, reflecting the company's growing infrastructure footprint. Self-mining revenue alone contributed $168.4 million.
Despite the top-line growth, Bitdeer's net loss widened to $92.3 million from $62.9 million a year earlier. The company has made significant changes in its Bitcoin treasury strategy, liquidating its entire holding of 943 BTC in February and leaving just 150 BTC on its balance sheet.
Bitdeer is also diversifying into the high-performance computing and artificial intelligence sectors, having signed a $4.7 billion lease for 121 megawatts of AI computing capacity in Norway. The deal marks one of the largest commitments by a mining firm to the AI data center space.
