Bitdeer Unloads $105M in Bitcoin, Reduces Reserves to 61 BTC

Bitdeer Technologies has significantly reduced its Bitcoin reserves in August, selling 1,506 BTC for $105 million and leaving just 61 BTC on its balance sheet. This sale represents a sharp increase from July, when the company offloaded 1,083 BTC.

The firm's zero-treasury policy, adopted in February 2026, involves liquidating freshly produced Bitcoin on a weekly cadence to convert digital assets into cash quickly. In August, Bitdeer mined 1,310 BTC, a 249% year-over-year increase from roughly 375 BTC in the same period last year.

The gap between mined and sold Bitcoin suggests that the company dipped into existing reserves to top up sales, explaining why holdings dropped from 257 to 61 BTC. This sell pressure is worth watching for the broader mining sector, as it puts meaningful supply on the market.
