BitFuFu Clears CFIUS Hurdle for Oklahoma Bitcoin Mining Acquisition
BitFuFu has secured clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) for its acquisition of a 51% stake in Uni-Titan LLC, owner of a 51-megawatt Bitcoin mining facility in Oklahoma.
The agreement was made public on February 19, 2025, and BitFuFu formally notified CFIUS on December 22, 2025. After completing the review process, CFIUS confirmed on September 28, 2026, that no unresolved national security concerns existed.
As part of the clearance, BitFuFu entered into a national security agreement with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Department of the Treasury. The agreement restricts the use of the Oklahoma facility to specified crypto mining operations, limits the deployment of certain advanced computing hardware, subjects improvements and equipment changes to government oversight, and establishes an ongoing compliance framework.
Analysts have a mixed view on BitFuFu's stock, with Spark's AI Analyst rating it as Neutral. The analyst cited weak financial quality, including a 2025 swing to losses and rapidly rising leverage, as well as bearish technicals and negative MACD.
