BitFuFu Mined 112 BTC in July, Yet Shrunk Its Bitcoin Reserves
BitFuFu, a cloud mining platform listed on Nasdaq under the ticker FUFU, reported steady operational output in July, mining 112 BTC. This performance is consistent with its recent production capacity, although the company has not disclosed detailed information about its mining fleet or efficiency.
The decrease in Bitcoin holdings from 1,671 BTC at the end of May to 1,314 BTC by the end of July suggests that BitFuFu may be selling a portion of its mined Bitcoin to cover operational costs, debt obligations, or general corporate expenses. This practice is common among miners, especially during high-cost environments.
BitFuFu's business model combines self-mining with cloud mining services, allowing customers to purchase hash rate contracts. While this diversifies revenue streams, it also exposes the company to fluctuations in Bitcoin's price and network difficulty.
