Bitget Attack: Withdrawals Suspended as Exchange Bypasses Systems

Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange, has suspended withdrawals following an attack on its systems. According to CEO Gracy Chen, the attacker bypassed parts of Bitget's systems and used the platform to initiate withdrawals.

Chen emphasized that the attack did not result from leaked private keys, describing it as the 'worst-case scenario' but stating that current findings do not point to this method. The incident involves multiple assets and blockchain networks, which has led Bitget to coordinate internal and external technology teams to locate the problem and develop a fix.

The exchange is working to prevent further losses and has completed measures to ensure no additional attack is expected. Withdrawals will resume after the security issue receives a more certain resolution.
