The suspected attackers behind Bitget's recent ZEC theft have moved $3.8 million into Zcash's Ironwood privacy pool, making it harder to track the funds.

ZachXBT reported that the transfer occurred approximately two weeks after 18,900 ZEC tokens worth around $28.3 million were taken from a Bitget hot wallet on September 24.

The 2,700 ZEC sent to Ironwood amounts to about one-seventh of the stolen tokens and follows efforts to block the stolen assets from being exchanged.
