Bitget Blames Third-Party Vendor for Security Incident

Share

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has clarified the cause of a recent security incident on its platform. The company initially faced criticism after users reported discrepancies in their wallet balances.

However, an investigation by Bitget found that the issue was not due to the theft or exposure of private keys linked to the Bitget Wallet. Instead, it was attributed to a security vulnerability at a third-party vendor.

The company has chosen not to disclose the identity of the vendor responsible for the flaw nor provide details about the specific weakness.
