Bitget Bolsters Security Amid Recent Incident

Crypto exchange Bitget has announced a major overhaul of its security framework in response to a recent security incident.

The exchange revealed that it will now subject all withdrawal requests to an independent verification process, adding an extra layer of protection for users' funds.

This move comes as part of a broader effort by Bitget to strengthen its security protocols, which includes overhauling access rights for highly sensitive systems and introducing multi-approval procedures for core operations.

In addition, the exchange will temporarily suspend the use of external security functions related to the incident until recovery work is complete.
