Bitget Boosts Institutional API Limits with 600 RPS Ceiling
Bitget, a global cryptocurrency exchange, has raised its institutional API rate-limit ceiling to 600 requests per second (RPS) for eligible market-maker and PRO-tier clients trading under its unified trading account. This update is part of Bitget's wider institutional stack, which includes unified trading accounts, whitelisted sub-account and API management.
The new framework applies only to the top MM1 and PRO6 tiers, while other market-maker and PRO tiers receive correspondingly lower single-account and aggregate caps. The combined allocation across sub-accounts cannot exceed the aggregate cap for that tier.
Bitget advises existing eligible users to complete configuration ahead of the effective date to avoid falling back to the default limit of 10 requests per second. The update aims to provide a more granular per-UID ceiling, reducing the need for institutions to spread activity across additional accounts.
