Bitget has expanded its global footprint by registering with New Zealand's Financial Service Providers Register (FSPR), allowing it to offer a broader range of financial services and consumer protections to the local market.

The registration enables Bitget to expand its operations in New Zealand in compliance with the country's regulatory framework, covering foreign currency exchange, domestic and international money transfers, asset custody, portfolio management, and transaction execution on behalf of clients.

As part of its new obligations, Bitget has joined the Insurance and Financial Services Ombudsman (IFSO) Dispute Resolution Scheme, providing clients with access to an external dispute resolution mechanism and additional regulatory consumer protection.

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen described the registration as a significant step toward the company's vision of becoming a universal exchange, integrating cryptocurrency trading, tokenized real-world assets, and traditional financial instruments into a shared infrastructure.
