Bitget Expands Proof of Reserves Coverage to 19 Assets Amid Eighth Anniversary Celebration
Bitget has expanded its Proof of Reserves (PoR) coverage to include 19 verifiable assets as part of its eighth anniversary celebration. The upgrade allows users to verify their holdings across a wider range of cryptocurrencies and stablecoins, including established assets like BTC and ETH, major stablecoins such as USDT and USDC, and newer ecosystem tokens.
The expanded PoR coverage now includes 15 additional assets beyond the original four core assets: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), and USD Coin (USDC). The updated system operates on two levels: platform-level Proof of Reserves and personal Proof of Assets verification.
Bitget's PoR expansion is particularly significant as it marks a shift towards its Universal Exchange (UEX) model, which connects multiple asset classes under one roof. As the platform expands beyond conventional crypto trading to include tokenized U.S. equities, direct U.S. stock access, and commodities, transparency and security mechanisms must scale alongside the products themselves.
The September 2026 report recorded a total reserve ratio of 135%, up from 122% in August. Bitget's average reserve ratio has remained above 120%. The platform maintains a commitment to at least 1:1 backing for covered user assets, and users can verify their holdings using Merkle Tree-based verification.
