Bitget Hack Exposes 102.9 Million XRP Worth $157 Million
Bitget, a Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange, has been affected by a hack that occurred at some point. The hack resulted in seven addresses being linked to it holding about $157 million in XRP across these wallets.
The addresses were added to the tracked wallet set on September 25 and hold approximately 102.9 million XRP on the XRP Ledger. This figure translates to a value of around $157 million based on current market conditions.
In addition to the seven addresses linked to Bitget, there are also addresses on Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible networks that have been affected by the hack. These EVM addresses hold various assets including 67,980.25 ETH, 5,896.58 BNB, and 495.625 WETH among others.
One address is found on TRON which contains approximately 20,593,376.5 TRX. It's essential to note that the balances mentioned represent the current assets held in these addresses but do not indicate whether any funds have moved since the update on September 25.
