Bitget Hack Suspect Shifts Stolen Funds into Ironwood Shielded Pool

A portion of the stolen Zcash (ZEC) from Bitget has been transferred into Ironwood, a shielded pool that makes tracking and recovery on-chain more difficult. Approximately 2,700 ZEC, worth around $3.8 million at current values, were moved to the Ironwood pool. This development raises concerns about the feasibility of tracing the assets as recovery efforts continue.

The transfer was identified by blockchain investigator ZachXBT, who linked the wallet operator to a suspected North Korea-linked attacker. The stolen funds are part of an initial loss of around 18,900 ZEC, valued at approximately $28.3 million from Bitget's hot wallets.
