Bitget Hacked: $387.5 Million Transferred in Cryptocurrency Exchange Attack

Crypto exchange Bitget was hacked on September 24, resulting in approximately $387.5 million being transferred from its hot wallets to attacker-controlled addresses.

The funds affected include various cryptocurrencies such as ETH, XRP, USDT, ZEC, BNB, AVAX, and TRX, as well as fiat currencies.

According to Bitget, customer account balances remain unaffected, and the exchange's User Protection Fund will cover the financial impact of the incident.

The exact cause of the exploit remains unknown, but Bitget has confirmed that its cold wallets remained secure throughout the attack.
