Bitget Hacked: Exchange Loses $351.6 Million in XRP and Other Assets
Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange, was hacked on September 24, 2026, resulting in a loss of approximately $351.6 million.
The attackers made off with 102.93 million units of XRP, valued at around $157.48 million, which accounted for about 44.1% of the total stolen assets.
According to Lookonchain's asset breakdown, other stolen assets included ETH, USDT, USDC, BNB, AVAX, TRX, and tokenized gold (XAUt).
The attacker converted most of the stolen assets into 67,982 units of ETH, valued at approximately $183 million.
Bitget's User Protection Fund, which holds around $464 million in BTC, is expected to cover the losses, according to CEO Gracy Chen.
