Bitget Hacked for $351.6 Million, Suspects North Korea Involvement

Crypto exchange Bitget has confirmed that it was hacked on Thursday, September 25, 2026, resulting in the loss of $351.6 million worth of cryptocurrency.

The company suspects that the breach may be linked to North Korea, although no official confirmation has been made at this time.

Three other decentralized finance (DeFi) projects, Duelbits, Meter, and Payy Network, also reported being hacked on Thursday, with total losses totaling $7 million, $2.3 million, and $1.8 million respectively.

The hacking incidents highlight the ongoing issue of security vulnerabilities in the cryptocurrency industry, which has been a concern for investors and regulators alike.
