Bitget Hacked for $351M, DPRK Link Suspected

Share

Crypto exchange Bitget has been hit by a massive hack, with hackers making off with $351.6 million in assets.

The company claims that user funds are safe and that the losses will be covered by its protection fund, which holds more than $464 million.

Chief executive Gracy Chen stated that this attack is consistent with techniques used by DPRK-linked hacker groups.

Bitget's own assets exceed $1 billion, according to Chen. User withdrawals remain temporarily suspended as a precaution while trading and deposits continue normally.
