Bitget Hacked: Over $100 Million Stolen in 'Aggressive' Asset Transfers
Reports have surfaced that cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has been targeted in a major hacking attack. According to allegations, an incident of unusual on-chain activity exceeds $100 million in magnitude.
Some users claim their withdrawals are blocked, while others point out high-value asset transfers from hot and cold wallets labeled as belonging to Bitget. Researchers shared on-chain data, revealing transactions on the Arbitrum network that raised suspicions about the legitimacy of these transfers.
One notable transaction involved 7,111 $ETH purchased in just six minutes using approximately 19.67 million USDT0 from the Bitget hot wallet via UniswapX and 1inch Fusion. The prices paid were around 5% above the spot price, with the WETH/$USDC pool rising to $2,870 during these aggressive purchases.
The transferred assets include not only $ETH but also AVAX, BNB, $USDC, XAUT, USDT0, and $USDT. The affected address is 0xe410…d946, which made multiple large transactions from the wallets labeled as belonging to Bitget.
