Bitget Hacker Moves Millions of Dollars Through THORChain Amid Freeze Request
A wallet associated with the Bitget hacker has transferred approximately $6.3 million worth of Ethereum (ETH) to Bitcoin (BTC) using THORChain, a decentralized exchange.
The transaction occurred amid Bitget's CEO Gracy Chen requesting that THORChain freeze addresses connected to the Sept. 24 security breach.
According to blockchain transactions data, the wallet made 27 swaps on Monday, trading around 2,390 ETH for approximately 75.2 BTC via THORChain.
The cost of each batch was approximately $265,000 at current prices.
