Bitget Hackers Move Stolen Zcash into North Korea-Linked Shielded Pool

The September 24 Bitget hack has led to further complications as hackers linked to North Korea are allegedly shifting stolen Zcash into Ironwood, a shielded pool that reduces traceability.

ZachXBT, a blockchain investigator, reports that approximately $3.8 million worth of ZEC was sent to Ironwood, part of the roughly $28.3 million in stolen funds.

The move raises security and fund-recovery challenges for exchanges and DeFi services as transactions inside Ironwood become difficult to trace.
