Bitget Hackers Siphon $388M After 25-Day Infiltration

Share

Bitget, a major cryptocurrency exchange, has been hit by hackers who were inside the system for an astonishing 25 days before making off with $388 million in crypto assets. The heist is one of the largest-ever recorded on an exchange and has sent shockwaves through the cryptocurrency community.

The attackers exploited vulnerabilities in Bitget's internal systems to gain unauthorized access, eventually making their move on February 4 when they withdrew a staggering amount of digital currency from the platform's wallets.

Bitget officials confirmed that the hackers were able to breach security measures and remained undetected for an extended period, highlighting concerns over the exchange's cybersecurity protocols.
