Share

Crypto exchange Bitget has suspended customer withdrawals after a significant hack resulted in the theft of approximately $351.6 million worth of cryptocurrencies.

The company noticed unauthorized transfers from some of its wallets on September 24 and temporarily halted withdrawals as a security precaution, according to chief executive Gracy Chen.

All user funds are said to be safe, with Bitget covering the loss using their own funds. The exchange has more than 120 million users, making it one of the world's largest crypto exchanges.
