Bitget Heist Linked to North Korea: $351M Stolen in Massive Crypto Hack
North Korean cybercriminals are suspected of carrying out a massive heist from Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange Bitget. The theft, valued at $351.6 million, is currently the largest in 2026 and pushes DPRK-linked crypto losses above $1 billion this year.
According to Bitget CEO Gracy Chen, analysis of blockchain and digital infrastructure revealed behavior consistent with North Korean actors. Chen stated that 'it's the DPRK or some of their partners together' behind the heist, but did not provide further details.
