A security incident at Bitget has led to about 4 BTC being linked to a Wasabi CoinJoin round, making it harder to track the funds.

The funds originated from a compromised TRON wallet and went through several exchanges, including TRX for Tether (USDT), USDT0 on Ethereum, and then conversion into Ether (ETH).

After passing through THORChain, about 4.59 BTC was exchanged, with some of it being split and entering a CoinJoin round.

Bitget has valued the incident at approximately $387.5 million, which is higher than its initial estimate of $351.6 million after considering assets held on Zcash and TRON.
