Bitget Posts Record 122% Reserve Ratio in Latest Proof of Reserves Update
Bitget has released its August Proof of Reserves (PoR) update, showing a reserve ratio of 122% and extending its disclosure streak to 45 consecutive months. This means that Bitget held more assets than the balances included in its August snapshot.
The exchange's Protection Fund averaged $382 million during August, staying above its initial $300 million commitment. The fund consists of 5,500 BTC and ranged from roughly $345.3 million at the start of the month to $441.5 million on August 27, reflecting changes in Bitcoin's price.
Bitget uses a Merkle-tree system to incorporate user balances into a cryptographic structure, allowing customers to verify whether their assets were included in a given snapshot. The exchange offers open-source MerkleValidator and PoR tools, and publicly disclosed wallet information can be reviewed through blockchain explorers.
The expanded asset coverage now includes more than 20 supported assets on its PoR page, ranging from BTC and ETH to USDT, USDC, BGB, XRP, SOL, DOGE, and BNB. Bitget serves over 125 million users through a multi-asset trading model that includes tokenized stocks, ETFs, commodities, foreign exchange, and precious metals.
