Bitget Protection Fund Valuation Hits $351M Amid Bitcoin Rally
Bitget's Protection Fund saw its average valuation climb to $351 million in July 2026, mirroring Bitcoin's price recovery over the month. This is according to Bitget's own reporting, which tracks and publishes the fund's value in real-time. The exchange describes this visibility as crucial for an industry still reeling from past collapses.
The fund's reserves are backed by 5,500 BTC, meaning its dollar value rises and falls with Bitcoin's own price movement. During July, Bitcoin traded between $59,968 and $66,521, a recovery that pushed the fund's valuation roughly 17% above its original $300 million commitment.
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen framed the fund's steady performance as evidence of a broader commitment to consistency, regardless of market direction. 'Market direction may change, but user protection shouldn't,' she said. 'Our Protection Fund is designed to give users confidence in every market environment.'
