Bitget Resumes Withdrawals After $387.5M Security Breach

Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange, has announced it will resume withdrawals for several assets after a $387.5 million security breach forced the platform to suspend the service.

The first phase of withdrawal resumption will begin on September 28 at 08:00 UTC when Bitcoin withdrawals will reopen on the native Bitcoin network.

Bitget's CEO, Gracy Chen, stated that the temporary withdrawal pause was a security measure and did not affect users' account balances.

The exchange has launched an Asset Recovery Bounty Program offering up to 10% in total rewards for helping freeze stolen funds and leading to their recovery.
