Bitget Resumes Withdrawals After $387M Security Incident
Bitget has announced that withdrawals will resume on September 28 for certain assets and on October 2 for others. The exchange was affected by a security incident on September 24, in which attackers stole around $387.5 million worth of crypto assets.
The company has published a schedule outlining the resumption of withdrawals, with Bitcoin being released first followed by Ether, USDT, and other tokens. Fiat money and peer-to-peer trading will be available from October 2 onwards.
Investors in Germany should note that Bitget has restricted access to its platform for users in this country since January 2026, due to regulatory issues with the Austrian financial market authority. Those holding residual balances at the exchange are advised to act promptly and withdraw their funds before the resumption of normal operations.
