Bitget Resumes Withdrawals After $388 Million Hack

Crypto exchange Bitget has resumed withdrawals after a major security incident on September 24. The attack resulted in the theft of approximately $388 million in digital assets.

The resumption of operations was announced by CEO Gracie Chen during a live AMA session. According to an internal investigation, attackers exploited a vulnerability in a third-party security product to obtain high-level internal credentials.

This allowed them to send fraudulent withdrawal requests bypassing risk controls. The company emphasizes that private keys were not compromised and user balances remain safe.
