Bitget has resumed withdrawals after a security incident on September 24. The exchange identified the attack path and remediated the vulnerability, confirming that user balances remain unaffected.

The phased withdrawal resumption began with Bitcoin (BTC) withdrawals on the Bitcoin and BSC networks at 08:00 UTC on September 28, as scheduled.

Earlier that day, Bitget CEO Gracy Chen addressed the incident during a live AMA (Ask Me Anything) session. The exchange has strengthened its wallet infrastructure and risk controls over the past eight years of operation.

The investigation found that the attacker exploited a vulnerability in a third-party security product to obtain high-level internal credentials. These credentials were used to send fraudulent withdrawal commands to the wallet system, bypassing risk controls.
