Bitget Sees Positive ETH Net Inflows After Security Breach
Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange, has seen positive Ethereum net inflows after resuming withdrawals following a security breach. The incident occurred on September 24 and involved unauthorized transfers from parts of its hot and warm wallets. The exchange reported that it found and fixed the flaw.
After restarting ETH withdrawals on September 29, Bitget logged about 9,674 ETH inflows versus 9,023 ETH outflows, resulting in a net inflow of roughly 651 ETH. This suggests users were not rushing to withdraw funds following the security incident.
The exchange has also announced that USDT withdrawals will resume on September 30 and other services are due to return on October 2, signaling restored CEX operations and potential stabilization of ETH liquidity in the crypto market.
