Bitget Suffers $387.5M Security Breach, Circumvents Losses

A significant security breach at cryptocurrency trading platform Bitget has resulted in an estimated loss of $387.5 million, up from an initial estimate of $351.6 million.

The attack occurred on September 24, with unauthorized fund movements detected from several hot wallets at 18:31 UTC that day.

Circle and Tether swiftly responded by freezing approximately $318,000 in USDC and USDT, respectively, linked to the breach.
